Tiny Toss sandbags are filled with Australian sourced prewashed play sand.

Before it goes inside your Tiny Toss, the sand is baked, sifted and carefully prepared by hand.

Each sandbag is made with 2 inner calico layers to securely hold the sand, before being finished with its outer fabric.

Tiny Toss sandbags are designed for children aged 3 years and over.

They’re made for open-ended, active and sensory play and should always be used with adult supervision.

Tiny Toss sandbags are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

Yes! For everyday marks, we recommend spot cleaning first with a damp cloth and allowing your Tiny Toss to dry completely.

When they need a deeper clean, place them inside a delicates bag and machine wash on a cold gentle cycle.

Allow them to dry completely in the sun before storing or playing with them again.

Please note, the Tiny Toss tag is made from recycled paper, so its appearance and texture may change after washing. This is completely normal and does not affect your Tiny Toss.

Please do not tumble dry.

Each Tiny Toss weighs approximately 210g  and that weight has been intentionally chosen as part of the way they’re designed for play.

Rather than being super lightweight, Tiny Toss gives little hands something substantial to grasp, carry, toss, balance, stack and move. The added weight creates natural resistance during play, encouraging children to use their hands, arms and whole body as they explore different ways to play.

That extra resistance can also bring elements of heavy work into everyday play, through simple actions like carrying, collecting, loading, moving and tossing.

It gives Tiny Toss that satisfying, grounded feel that makes them so versatile — from target games and obstacle courses to balancing challenges, imaginative play and purposeful movement.

Every Tiny Toss is filled and finished by hand, so slight variations in weight are completely normal.

Every Tiny Toss is handmade by me in small batches, with care going into every step.

From choosing and preparing the fabrics, to preparing the sand, sewing and finishing each piece by hand.

They’re thoughtfully constructed with multiple layers, including a secure calico inner that holds the sand separately from the outer fabric. Each Tiny Toss is machine stitched for strength before the final opening is carefully closed by hand.

They’re made slowly and intentionally, because I want them to be something that can handle all the tossing, carrying, balancing, building and playing little hands can think of.

And because each one is handmade rather than mass produced, you may notice small variations from one Tiny Toss to another. That’s part of what makes each one uniquely yours. 💛

Tiny Toss is a small, handmade business, so your order is carefully packed and prepared before making its way to you.
